Supporting Community Based Sustainable Forest Management and Economic Empowerment of Women in Central Region of Nepal"  is a three year project supported by Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation (APFNet) Bejing, PR of chaina. The goal of the project is “Community forests and local livelihood well developed and managed in sustainable ways as well as models and approaches on SFM recognized and applied by government. The project is run by the consortium of the three organizations in three districts; Kathmandu Makwanpur and Sarlahi, in each of the three thematic areas, namely; Eco-tourism, Handicraft development and essential oil production, respectively along with  the sustainable management of 13 community forests covering 1,375 Hectare of forests benefiting more than 4, 317 households. The project is facilitated by the Project Secretariat run by Himalayan Grassroots Women’s Natural Resource management Association (HIMAWANTI), Nepal. This three year project is supervised by the Ministry of forest and Soil Conservation (MoFSC)

Advancing Women’s Economic Empowerment (AWEE)- Ensuring Nepal’s Sustainable and Equitable Development (2015-2017)” is a one and half year project supported by UN WOMEN.

  • Orientation on gender sensitive law, policy.
  • National seminar
  • Capacity development training
  • Help center establishment on women and children office
  • Media mobilization orientation training
  • Training on election law and voter education
  • Orientation training on election law and voter education
  • National workshop on common demand letter preparation and submission to concerned authority
