HIMAWANTI is recognized by its stakeholders to be a strong civil society association that ensures the rights of women in natural resources (land, water, forest), while exercising absolute democracy. HIMAWANTI hopes to see the organization as a national level organization within 15 years dedicated to protecting, preserving, and utilizing natural resources within different areas of Nepal by strengthening women’s role in it.
To ensure the emergence of appropriate policies and decision-making processes aimed at organizing rural women and promoting their strengths, and to conserve and manage the nation’s natural resources.
To establish an organization which associates all grassroots level women to manage natural resources in order to increase their livelihoods.
